Danny Zaruba

Guitarist,  Honorary Dimeslot

Danny Zaruba has been playing onstage with the Dimeslots since 1982 until today.  As one of the Dimeslots roommates, there were many hours spent jamming and singing.

Danny was a member of W&M's Track team, and as one of the school's greatest Pole Vaulters ever, it qualified him as genuinely crazy!  In the days when the famous "Dirty Deli" was in fact one of the most popular, yet sometimes dangerous places to visit, there is an EPIC Danny Zaruba story.  He was on a TRACK recruiting trip as a high school senior.   His recruiting teammates took him to the the "Dirty".  As a rough & tumble NJ resident, Danny was never one to avoid conflict. When a group of local "townies" came after his group, Danny lept in to the tumble, coming out with a HUGE knife wound on his Pecs. Danny's response:  "THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!! I AM DEFINITELY COMING TO W&M"

Imagine his disappointment when he returned the following year and had to go to classes!!

As a member of the Track Team, he quickly got to know Reid, Ed & Mike, and eventually ended up as one of Ed's roomates at Seasons Trace.  And, that led to many nights of jamming with Ed & Reid and others.......
